Under Tender Loving Care

When awake Sachi can see all these blooms from the window; something he is doing more and more every day. He is staying awake longer and joining us in many of the activities. He is even getting hungry. The flavor of foods being cooked in the kitchen is chipping away at the damage done by radiation to his taste buds. He is waiting for the swallow test to be done so he can begin to eat. We always think of the sense of taste and smell as leading to excesses of gluttony. It is in the abscence of these senses, however, that we truly realise the survival role they play in saving mankind from extinction.
I am slowly resuming regular work and leaving home for few hours as needed. Sachi is doing fine by himself during these times; I, on the other hand, am experiencing seperation anxiety. Pressure of house work, gardening and kids are helping me get back on track. It is however fun to still sit cozily on the sofa and spend hours and hours flipping through >150 channels watching anything and everything. Sachi lets me hold the remote. I can see that this will be changing soon. He looks quite alert and one of these days he is going to try and assert his male prerogative.
It is the first day of May today. The year till now has sped by in a blink it seems, inspite of our days having been so slow, proving Einstein's theory of relativity. The summer I hope will linger along giving us time to cherish our blessings.
HAPPY MAY FROM ALL OF US TO ALL OF YOU

A moving combination of pictures that speak volumes without uttering a word….
The shape of things to come….the progress envisaged….the transformation to take place...
As Sanabhai’s condition traversed the painful path from health to disease, from blooming to wilting, from happiness to horror…..we all witnessed the exhibition of courage and endurance, faith and friendship of an extraordinary order towards accomplishment of the impossible – a rare reversal of fortune. From the ashes of gloom and despondency rose the Phoenix of power and rejuvenation….from the depths of dread and doom soared the ever awakened spirit of survival…
Today as you lose yourself in the embrace of slumber, little does anyone realize that you are in fact conserving to consolidate, resting to rise, sleeping to swell…
Look at the radiant freshness of flowers beckoning from the corners of your own garden… Those are the faces of exuberance you have to adorn as you arise from your temporary debility. Look at the collection of love put together by Nuabou and imbibe the life inherent in the majestic presence of His artwork.
It is just a question of time before the process of transformation is complete and the pictures merge with you in one marvelous splash of color and ebullience.
Counting the diminishing days that separate us from union….
Pranams & Prayers.

Ambi,

Thanks for posting great pictures with every post and taking good care of Sachi. You are right, pretty soon he is going to be strong enough to reclaim the remote. Changing channels is male’s domain. Gurjeet always gets mad at me, when remote is in my hands.

Good to know Sachi is getting anxious to smell and taste the foods again. This definitely points to quick recovery. One thing good about Sachi is he loves to eat and enjoys and appreciates good food. I am sure now he is going to appreciate even more!

Keep up the good work with photos and very informative posts.

Tell Sachi to write one now. I am sure everyone is anxiously waiting for his views.

The jostling crowds of conflicting ends….the maddening cacophony of discordant chords… the heartless violence of misguided millions….
When the soft promise of peace seems like a distant dream in the eluding horizon of Time…when the churning realities of mindless debauchery hold siege over mankind, Life loses its divine fragrance and becomes a monotony of predictable events and unpredictable consequences.
In the midst of this kind of dreary despondency the only hope that remains alive in the human breast and a mother’s womb is the cry of innocence…..It is only in this appeal that God Himself comes down to resurrect His creation. A new generation with love in their hearts and peace in their dreams have it within their power to change the deadly course that currently seems to lead this planet to avoidable annihilation…
Hearing your voices a while ago, bubbling with cheer and joy, was a long awaited departure from the ennui of suffering and survival, the tedium of handicap and struggle, the repetition of pain and endurance….a departure that was long overdue and hence a welcome signal. You two have long been tossed and torn in the violent squall of disease and revival…..suffering and salvation….drowning and rescue….
The leaf of a new Chapter is about to unfold, a breath of fresh life is about to fill your world, a phase of renewed vigor is about to commence. The happy anticipation we heard in your voices filtered through as droplets of dew on a new morning about to dawn…..
As you both prepare to welcome the new beginning and stand with outstretched arms to draw the harbinger into your heart in a close embrace of love, allow us to join the gang and hold up our beer glasses to cheer you all !!. Your spell of torture being relegated to the forgotten pages of history, it is now your turn to live and love, to pour and pamper, to spoil and indulge, to bless and bestow……
Love and Cheers!!
